Whilst enjoying our new mobile app, keep your eyes peeled to this blog and our official Facebook page for the newest updates in the world of MegaCloud.

I’m a Mac.

MegaCloud has always been about taking your files wherever you go, allowing to always being in touch with your data no matter where life takes you and this is why MegaCloud for Mac is an extension of this philosophy, allowing you to expand your experience in a new and exciting way. If you, (like many of us at the MegaCloud office!) use a mac on a day to day basis this update will revolutionize the way you backup your files as you’ll no longer need to access the web to synchronize your data, with the newly released Mac app you can backup, sync and share your files just as easy and intuitively as you could on our original Windows only version. That means if you’re out and about with your beloved MacBook you no longer have to wait till you are by a Wi-Fi hotspot to back up your data as everything you work on can be saved directly into the MegaCloud folder allowing instant and automatic synchronization the moment an internet connection is present. With MegaCloud for Mac you’ll never forget to sync a file again.

Built from the ground up with the OSX as a fundamental part of our design; MegaCloud for Mac is fully integrated into the operating system boasting native growl notification support to keep you updated on the status of your files without you ever having to lift a finger.

The Mac version of MegaCloud launched on January 20th and can be downloaded via the massive download icon on the main page.

Continuing from where we left off last week we have another brand new feature that is now available to use on MegaCloud.

Sharing files with MegaCloud has just become a whole lot more secure with our brand new password lock feature that lets you create a unique password to protect your shared files from falling into the wrong hands.

With our password protection service your files are safer than ever, so what are you waiting for?

Let’s start sharing!

We are proud to announce the launch of several new features for the MegaCloud service that are aimed solely at improving and enhancing the MegaCloud experience like never before.

Since we launched, photos have become one of the most hosted types of files on our service and as a result we worked continuously to think of ways to improve the photo side of MegaCloud and offer a more seamless and intuitive service.

The first feature to introduce is known simply as the ‘Shareable Link’ and this indispensable tool allows you to share your files and folders easier and more secure than ever before. The Shareable Link is designed to increase security on your files and lets you share your data on either a folder to folder or file to file basis with each item having its own unique link.

Our other new features to introduce for 2012 are the brand new Gallery and Slideshow views that allow you to view your photos by either large Gallery portrait style icons or in a Slideshow for a full screen experience.
With the Slideshow view you can now experience all the color and life in your photos like never before; take advantage of our cloud storage service to free your photos from your PC, laptop or smartphone and transport them onto your TV without ever having to transfer a single image.
Whilst our brand new Gallery view not only offers gives you the ability to view all your photos in a single window it also makes the selection process much easier….

Speaking of selection, the biggest and probably most ground breaking new announcement of the moment is our user friendly Facebook Photo Sharing feature; when combined with the brand new Gallery view makes uploading images to Facebook has never been easier. Simply select your photos and have them uploaded directly to your Facebook instantly. What’s more is that you can even rename your album and it will appear on your wall just like when you upload content via the site itself!

Facebook photo sharing might be a big feature but rest assured it is only the start of brand new and exciting convergence tools from MegaCloud.
